Disputes and Refund Policy: If for any reason you are not happy with the goods or they are not delivered in a reasonable time frame you should in the first instance communicate directly with the seller. iSnapChat is not involved in the transaction, quality of goods or responsible for delivery. But if things are not to your satisfaction our policies are as follows:

The seller isn't corresponding or refuses to complete the deal
We suggest that you allow a minimum of 10 days for the seller to get in touch (not everyone lives on their computer!). During this time please:

  •  Check to see if they have contacted you via your iSnapChat Mail
Check that your email is typed correctly in your iSnapChat settings and the email notifications are on.
You should check your spam filters aren't stopping email notifications from us.
You may also be able to message them via their Facebook Profile. Go to their iSnapChat profile and click on the View FB button
If the seller has a public email on their iSnapChat or Facebook profile, use that as well.

Listing an item for sale on iSnapChat is a commitment from the seller to sell the item through the site. If you have given the seller at least 10 days in which to contact you and you still haven’t any communication we suggest that you contact us. Please quote the sales reference number.

The seller hasn't sent the goods
Once you have paid for the goods you should allow at least 7 days for local deliveries and much longer for national and international deliveries. If your goods do not arrive in a reasonable timeframe please:

  •  Contact the seller. Direct communication with the seller solves most problems. Ask the seller when they sent the goods and when you can expect delivery.
Read the Sales details carefully. There may be reasons why the shipping is taking longer than you expect i.e. national or international delivery, or you sent a cheque and the seller is waiting for it to clear.
There may be a delivery tracking number and shipping contact details for you to follow up.
  Be Patient.

If you have contacted the seller and  gone through all the above steps and are still not satisfied we suggest that you contact us. Please quote the sales reference number.

Refund Policy
For Physical Art iSnapChat is not involved in the transaction so we can't offer you a refund. But for your protection we recommend that you pay via PayPal as they have a well established reputation and refund policy. They will usually investigate any claim and if appropriate, refund any money. Please note that although we recommend PayPal and use PayPal on this site we are not affiliated with PayPal, they have there own policies and systems which can change at any time and iSnapChat is in no way responsible for PayPal refund or other policies.

Unresolved Disputes
iSnapChat is not involved in the transaction, quality of goods or responsible for delivery of Physical Art but if after going through all the above steps you are not satisfied we will help arbitrate any issue.  If we find that someone does not prove cooperative, honest and reliable we will remove them from the iSnapChat site and stop them from trading on iSnapChat. This means that they will lose all commercial rights to trade on this site, they will lose all their Fans and access to iSnapChat mail, contacts and access to all their Galleries, Art Shops and other iSnapChat services. For most Sellers this would not be a desirable outcome and is sufficient incentive to cooperate in resolving any dispute.

Buying Digital Art

Royalty Free Images

This is a license for you personally (or for your company) and for your client. Defamatory, libelous, pornographic or otherwise unlawful use of any image is prohibited.

Artists Rights
The artist or photographer who created the image always retains the right to reproduce their image as part of their portfolio of work. This can be in any media such as an exhibitions, publication or online gallery.

Exclusivity & Copyright
This is set by the Artists or Photographer who is selling the image:

Single Original: The Artist/Photographer is selling a single digital copy of the image and if you purchase this you have exclusive rights to use this image. The Artist/Photographer may not Sell the commercial rights to anyone else and so can't be used commercially by anyone else except by the artists/photographer as part of their portfolio.

They may also select to give us additional rights to use their images in our Make Stuff section. The sale of any work does not affect the rights that iSnapChat has over any image uploaded to the site and we retain all rights as outlined in our copyright Policy.

If the artists selects to delete the image from their iSnapChat Art Shop any such rights that iSnapChat may have had expire (other than for sold work where buyers, sellers and our admin need to keep a track transactions - such images are not publicly visible and Facebook will have its own copyright policy).

Important: Check that it says Digital and not Physical:

Resolution: Check the resolution is appropriate to your needs. Resolution of digital images is measured in pixels. If you need to print the image in a physical format you will need a higher resolution image. If you are unsure of your needs ask your designer or printer for advise before you buy. The Artists/Photographer is likely to ask for a higher price for images with a high resolution:

Resolution Guide: This is a guide only, if you are unsure please talk to your designer or printer:

Digital Resolution is measured in: PPI - Pixels Per Inch (an inch is 2.5cm)
Print Resolution is measured in: DPI - Dots Per Inch.

For all intensive purposes DPI & PPI are the same. Here are some examples:

300 dpi   This is used for very high quality printing such as glossy magazines.
150 dpi   This is used for photo quality ink jet printing
100 dpi   This is suitable for most home or office printing needs
72 ppi     The is used for images published to the internet
60 dpi     This is used for large printing such as bus stop posters.
20 dpi     This is used for large scale bill boards.

The above image at 3072 x 2304 ppi could be printed in a glossy magazine where the image measured 10 x 7 inches (25 x 17.5cm) or on a large scale bill board where the image measured 153 x 115 inches (384 x 288cm).
